Tendaness biography: Tatenda Mandaza, known as Tendaness, is a record producer, DJ, and songwriter from Mbabane, Eswatini. Born on September 10, 1992, to a Swati mother and a Zimbabwean father, Tendaness music blending genres such as EDM, Hip Hop, and Pop.
Early Life and Musical Beginnings
Tendaness embarked on his musical journey between 2007 and 2008, inspired by a high school friend who introduced him to turntables. His passion for music production led him to establish his own record label, Tendamix Records, in 2011. Demonstrating a commitment to both his education and craft, he pursued a degree in Advertising with a minor in Film and Media Studies at the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 2016.
Career Highlights
In 2017, Tendaness released his self-titled debut album, Tendaness, featuring collaborations with artists like Bholoja, LO, Velemseni, and Zanda Zakuza. The album’s lead single, “Jika,” achieved remarkable success, topping charts in Eswatini and gaining significant airplay across Africa and beyond. The track reached number one on the Apple Music Top 100 Charts for Eswatini and secured prominent positions on various international platforms.
