!Sooks Biography: Sukoluhle Dlamini, known as !Sooks, is a music artist from the Kingdom of eSwatini (formerly Swaziland). !Sooks is a leading figure in Southern Africa’s electronic music scene.

Musical Journey

Born and raised in Mbabane, eSwatini, !Sooks developed a fascination with African music and synth sound creation at a young age. This passion led him to explore electronic music production, culminating in his official debut in 2016 with the EP “7 Years of Colour,” released under Antidote Music. He followed this with “A Different Place” on the international label Deepstitched Records, further solidifying his presence in the electronic music community.

Career Highlights 

!Sooks’ innovative sound has earned him invitations to perform at major events across eSwatini, Mozambique, and South Africa, including the MTN Bushfire Festival, Soul Candi Spring Fiesta, and Mixmag’s The Lab Johannesburg. His accolades include multiple awards at the 2019 Dance Music Awards South Africa, where he won “Best Underground Record of the Year” for his track “Oasis” and “Best Compilation Album” for House Afrika Records’ Mzansi House Vol.9, which features his debut album “Symmetry.” Additionally, he was honored as “Best House Artist” at the MTN SWAMA Awards in eSwatini.

Recent Endeavors

Continuing his artistic evolution, !Sooks released the single “Dynamic Reality” in early 2025, marking his debut with the Belgium-based label Moodfamily. This track exemplifies his hypnotic and journey-like brand of deep house, drawing comparisons to artists like Bonobo and Gold Panda. His music is available on platforms such as Spotify, where he maintains a growing listener base.
