Born on January 17, 1996, in Maseru, Lesotho, Ntate Stunna has become renowned for his unique fusion of traditional Sesotho sounds with contemporary hip-hop, a style he refers to as “Genetic.” This innovative approach blends elements of trap music with Famo—a traditional Basotho genre characterized by accordion melodies, oil-can drums, and ululations—delivered through compelling lyrics in his native Sesotho language.

Ntate Stunna’s inaugural track, “From Khaya to Jozi,” released in 2014, drew inspiration from artists like 50 Cent and Nigeria’s Ice Prince. However, it was his 2020 debut album, Sesotho Fashioneng, that propelled him into the limelight, featuring hit singles such as “Lotto,” “Nka E Koala,” and “Ntoa.” His dynamic performances have seen him share stages with prominent artists, including DJ Tira, NaakMusiq, Major League DJz, and the late Riky Rick.
