Early Life and Musical Foundation
Mozaik was immersed in the arts from a young age. His mother was a member of the Manzini Choir, and his late father was an avid music collector.
Claiming Ground Records
In 2006, Mozaik founded Claiming Ground Records, Eswatini’s pioneering record label. Under his leadership, the label has become a cornerstone of the local music industry, supporting a diverse roster of artists across various genres.
Artistic Collaborations and Achievements
Mozaik’s versatility is evident in his extensive collaborations with artists both within Eswatini and internationally. He has produced for South African Afro-soul artist Nomalungelo, R&B sensation Tiyas, and hip-hop artists KrTC and Psycho Lution, among others. His production of Siyinqaba’s 2010 album, “The Album,” garnered critical acclaim, winning awards for Album of the Year and Hip-Hop Album of the Year.
Recent Projects
In March 2020, Mozaik released his debut solo album, “NOWHERE,” under Claiming Ground Records. The album showcases his growth as an artist and producer, blending various musical styles to create a unique sound. It is available on multiple digital platforms and select retail outlets in Eswatini and South Africa.
